Senior Legal Adviser - Employment and Litigation

About the role

Bupa is hiring a Senior Legal Adviser - Employment and Litigation for a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will provide trusted legal advice across Bupa's APAC business, partnering with leaders and stakeholders on employment law, industrial relations, workplace health and safety, litigation and regulatory matters. The role is based in Melbourne, which is preferred, but other locations within Australia are open; hybrid work arrangements are offered.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical, solutions-focused advice on workplace and employment matters
• Manage disputes and litigation
• Support regulatory compliance across a diverse range of businesses
• Work closely with senior legal leaders and engage with external counsel where required
• Advise stakeholders on complex and sensitive matters across the APAC region

Required profile

• Degree in law and a current practising certificate
• Experience in private practice or in-house employment, workplace law and dispute resolution
• Experience advising on enterprise agreements, modern awards and other industrial instruments
• Advocacy experience is desirable, particularly at State and Federal level, especially the Fair Work Commission
• Post-graduate or other specialist legal qualifications are desirable
