PACS Administrator

About the role

I-MED Radiology is looking for a hands-on PACS Administrator to join on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role supports and optimises the enterprise imaging and reporting platforms, including PACS and InteleOrchestrator (IO), and provides Level 2 and 3 application support to radiologists and clinic teams across the network. It also contributes to system improvements, upgrades and projects that keep clinical workflows safe, efficient and reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, configure and support PACS and IO, including workflow logic, routing rules, user profiles and reporting settings.
• Investigate and resolve application incidents, monitor system performance and integrations, and ensure reliable imaging and reporting workflows.
• Support application upgrades, releases and configuration changes, including testing, validation and troubleshooting.
• Work with radiologists, clinic teams, IT colleagues and external vendors to resolve issues and find improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to projects and continuous improvement initiatives, maintain system documentation and guide and train users.

Required profile

• Experienced clinical applications professional with strong technical troubleshooting skills and a good understanding of radiology workflows.
• Ideally a relevant tertiary qualification and experience administering medical imaging systems in a clinical environment.
• Experience providing Level 2 application support and working within ITIL-based incident, problem and change management processes.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills, able to manage competing priorities.

Required skills

• Sound understanding of DICOM, HL7 and integrated RIS, PACS and reporting systems.
• Hands-on experience with application configuration, troubleshooting and vendor engagement.
• Experience with Intelerad PACS, InteleOrchestrator or large multi-site radiology environments is highly regarded.
