Overseas Purchasing and Logistics Officer

About the role

An established, family-owned Australian business specialising in marine, RV and industrial accessories is looking for an Overseas Purchasing and Logistics Officer in Rochedale. The role coordinates overseas purchasing and international shipments, from order placement through to arrival at the warehouse. It is a varied, fast-paced, full-time permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Manage overseas purchase orders from placement through to shipment
• Coordinate sea and air freight with suppliers and freight forwarders
• Keep shipments on track and update internal teams on expected arrival dates
• Maintain accurate product, pricing, purchasing and shipment information
• Resolve supply, pricing and delivery issues as they arise
• Assist with supplier quotes, product sourcing and pricing reviews

Required profile

• Experience in international purchasing, imports, logistics, shipping or supply chain (highly regarded)
• Experience working with overseas suppliers and freight forwarders
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and competing deadlines
• A practical, proactive and solutions-focused approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

What we offer

• Salary of $75,000 to $90,000 per year plus superannuation, negotiable based on experience
• Full-time permanent role, Monday to Friday
