Out of School Hours Assistant (Casual)

About the role

Pacific Hills Christian School, a co-educational Prep to Year 12 school with 1500 students in Dural, Sydney, is looking for Out of School Hours Assistants to join its Before and After School Care team. This is a casual position, open to morning and afternoon hours and vacation care.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the Before, After and Vacation Care programs under the supervision and direction of the Educational Leaders and Director.
• Build a healthy relationship with children and their families.
• Assist in delivering the service in line with appropriate policies and standards.
• Assist with administration as required by the Director.

Required profile

• Available for morning and afternoon hours and vacation care.
• Previous experience with children, especially primary school-aged children, is not essential but highly regarded.
• Commitment to a local church and the ethos of Christian education is essential; applications should include a reference from a minister of the church you regularly attend.
• Candidates must provide their NSW Working with Children Check number for verification.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of current childcare legislation, including the EYLF and MTOP framework.
• An understanding of the National Quality Laws and Regulations is desirable.
• Education and Care First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis management certification, or willingness to obtain it.
• Child Protection Accredited Child Protection (CHCPRT001).

Operation hours are Monday to Friday: before school 6:30am to 9:00am, after school 2:00pm to 6:30pm, and vacation care 8:00am to 5:00pm, with possible shift variations during holidays. Additional hours may be needed for administration and preparation. Early applications are encouraged, and the closing date is 04/12/2026.
