OT Solution Architect – Industrial & Mining

About the role

The OT Solution Architect will lead end‑to‑end solution design and architecture governance for complex industrial environments, primarily within the mining and heavy‑industry sector. You will ensure that solutions meet operational, safety, and cybersecurity requirements while aligning with enterprise architecture standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and govern OT architectures, including mining systems, control systems, SCADA, industrial networks, wireless/fixed connectivity, edge infrastructure, and IT/OT integration.
• Create high‑quality deliverables such as high‑level designs, conceptual and logical architectures, data‑flow diagrams, risk assessments, and transition roadmaps.
• Assess solutions against cybersecurity, resilience, availability, performance, supportability, maintainability and business continuity criteria.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and communicate technical concepts to operational, engineering, delivery and executive audiences.

Required profile

• Proven solution architecture experience in enterprise or industrial settings, preferably in mining or comparable heavy‑industry environments.
• Strong knowledge of architecture principles, domains, viewpoints, patterns, reference architectures, current‑state and target‑state modelling, and architecture decision records.
• Ability to work across Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery methods and manage ambiguity with limited supervision.

Required skills

• TOGAF certification.
• Experience with ArchiMate modelling (certification a plus).
• Hands‑on expertise with SCADA, industrial networks, edge infrastructure, IT/OT integration and OT cybersecurity.
• Proficiency in producing architecture artefacts such as high‑level designs, options assessments and transition roadmaps.
