Oracle DBA – Sydney, Australia

About the role

Infosys is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to lead a team of 8‑10 DBAs in Sydney. You will collaborate with application, infrastructure, storage and backup teams, and work across diverse cultures to drive L1/L2/L3 support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Oracle database and Exadata operations for a Sydney‑based customer environment, ensuring high availability, performance and recoverability.
• Own Oracle RAC and Data Guard configurations, monitor Exadata cells/storage, manage OEM alerts, and coordinate RMAN backups and patch governance.
• Oversee incident, change, problem, service request, release and maintenance activities in line with ITIL processes.
• Perform SQL performance tuning, capacity planning, space management and housekeeping to improve database availability.
• Coordinate with application, infrastructure and backup teams to deliver seamless database services.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a team of DBAs and coordinating cross‑functional technical teams.
• Strong communication skills to work with colleagues from different cultures.
• Ability to drive L1, L2 and L3 support activities.
