Operator/Storeperson

About the role

We are looking for an Operator/Storeperson to join our Currumbin Service Centre team at Neumann Steel. In this hands‑on position you will support both production and warehouse activities, ensuring safe material handling, efficient inventory control and high‑quality output.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out pre‑start checks on plant, machinery and equipment before use.
• Operate machinery, plant and equipment safely in line with company procedures.
• Produce manufactured goods to required specifications and quality standards.
• Pick, pack, load and unload stock following Safe Loading Guidelines and Chain of Responsibility legislation.
• Receive, check and process incoming goods, stock transfers and returns accurately.
• Conduct regular stock takes and maintain accurate inventory records.

Required profile

• Physically fit and able to safely lift and handle materials.
• Strong communication, time‑management and organisational abilities.
• Capability to work autonomously and follow established procedures.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.

Required skills

• Current High Risk Work Licence – Forklift (advantageous).
• Experience operating overhead gantry cranes (advantageous).
• Previous warehousing or distribution experience (advantageous).
