Operations Manager - Travel

About the role

We are seeking an experienced travel operations professional to lead our operations team in Sydney CBD. The role will oversee end‑to‑end travel services, ensuring seamless experiences for international visitors while driving service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high‑performing operations team across FIT, groups and remote members.
• Oversee booking processes, itinerary management and tour coordination.
• Manage relationships with Australian and international suppliers, including accommodation, transport and touring partners.
• Handle escalations and resolve operational issues promptly.
• Monitor workflow, meet deadlines and maintain service standards.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product and Account teams to improve efficiency and the customer journey.
• Review operational performance and implement process improvements.
• Ensure accuracy, compliance and attention to detail in all documentation and systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience in travel operations, inbound tourism or tour coordination (Australian experience preferred).
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing teams in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent organisation, time‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Customer‑first mindset focused on delivering high‑quality travel experiences.
• Experience working collaboratively across Sales, Product and Operations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with travel booking systems, preferably Tourplan.
