Operations Manager - Mixed-Use Portfolio

About the role

JLL is hiring an Operations Manager for a multi-mixed-use portfolio in Brisbane, overseeing the day-to-day operations of a high-profile asset mix including a retail shopping centre, an office tower and a commercial parking station. The role focuses on strategic planning, the lifecycle of plant and equipment, project management, and the sustainability and economic performance of the assets, working closely with the client and the onsite team.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver onsite operations management procedures, processes and performance measures, and coordinate building management and essential services
• Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with fire, health and safety standards, including WHS legislation and the Building Code of Australia
• Maintain the property risk management program and audits across all assets to identify and mitigate operational risks
• Manage and optimise the centre's operations budgets to meet or exceed targets, cutting costs and generating savings
• Confirm that vendor procurement complies with client procurement guidelines and JLL best practice
• Ensure staff and contractors are inducted and receive up-to-date, site-specific training
• Execute the client's capital works program and its sustainability requirements across the portfolio
• Work with the onsite Facilities Manager and the Property Management team

Required profile

• Proven experience in shopping centre operations or facilities management, preferably with a diverse mixed-use portfolio
• Strong budgeting, financial reporting and cost-control skills, with a proactive approach to operational savings
• Deep understanding of compliance, statutory regulations and OH&S risk identification
• Experience managing capital works programs and plant and equipment lifecycle planning
• Commitment to sustainability and experience implementing environmental requirements
