Operations Manager

About the role

Minor Hotels’ Avani Living Queen's Wharf Residences is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead daily hotel operations in Brisbane. Working closely with the General Manager, you will inspire teams across Front Office, Housekeeping and Maintenance to deliver exceptional guest experiences while achieving strong commercial results.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and inspire Front Office, Housekeeping and Maintenance teams to maintain high service standards and memorable guest experiences.
• Oversee daily hotel operations, including roster management and coverage during weekends and evenings.
• Manage peak‑period operations, ensuring teams are supported and service delivery remains exceptional.
• Drive guest experience excellence by handling feedback, resolving issues and implementing continuous improvements.
• Support brand activations, property events and special initiatives to boost guest engagement.
• Monitor property performance, presentation and profitability, ensuring compliance with company standards and financial targets.
• Control budgets, expenses and revenue opportunities, conducting regular P&L reviews to maximise owner returns.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Department Head, Operations Manager or senior operational leader in a hotel environment.
• Strong leadership, communication and coaching abilities.
• Proven track record in budget management, cost control and achieving operational targets.
• Deep understanding of hotel operations, guest service delivery and commercial performance.
• Professional presentation and a proactive, hands‑on problem‑solving approach.
