Operational Pharmacist – Community & Hospital Pharmacy

About the role

We are seeking an Operational Pharmacist to join our large pharmacy located at the entrance of Victoria’s biggest private hospital. This permanent, full‑time role blends community pharmacy work with inpatient discharge counselling and specialised services for IVF and oncology clinics.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Create medication profiles for patients on discharge and provide comprehensive counselling.
• Support patients, carers and hospital staff throughout the patient journey.
• Provide specialised medication counselling for oncology and IVF products.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent service.
• Educate staff and patients on health promotion, disease prevention and proper use of medicines.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA general registration.
• Previous experience as a pharmacist in an Australian or New Zealand pharmacy.
• Strong knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS).
• Excellent time‑management, communication and teamwork abilities.
• Flexibility to work within diverse teams and adapt to change.
