About the role

Port Lincoln Health and Hospital Service is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Operating Theatre team on a five-week contract from 16 November to 18 December 2026. It is an opportunity for an experienced theatre nurse to contribute to a rural healthcare service in South Australia. The role is 0.84 FTE (64 hours per fortnight) and offers flexibility to support other areas of the hospital as operational needs arise.

Required profile

Demonstrated operating theatre nursing experience
Background in rural and remote nursing practice
Current Registered Nurse (RN1) registration with AHPRA
Ability to work flexibly across different clinical areas as required
Strong communication and teamwork skills in a collaborative theatre environment

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent with current AHPRA registration, a post-graduate qualification or demonstrated competency in perioperative nursing, and experience in rural or remote healthcare settings.
