Operating Theatre Nurse - Four Week Contract

About the role

Port Lincoln Health and Hospital Service is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Operating Theatre team on a four-week contract from 11 November to 11 December 2026. The role is a 0.84 FTE position (64 hours per fortnight) in a rural healthcare setting, with flexibility to support other hospital areas as operational needs require.

Key responsibilities

• Work in the operating theatre on a four-week contract with clear dates and defined hours.
• Support other areas of the hospital as operational needs require.

Required profile

• Demonstrated operating theatre nursing experience (preferred).
• Background in rural and remote nursing practice (preferred).
• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (RN1).
• Ability to work a flexible roster and adapt to changing operational priorities.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach in a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, with current AHPRA registration.
• Formal qualification or demonstrated competency in perioperative nursing.
• Experience or training in rural and remote healthcare delivery.
