Onboarding Nurse Associate (RN)

About the role

The Onboarding Nurse Associate supports safe, accurate, and patient‑centred clinical screening and communication within structured nursing workflows. Working under senior nurses and nursing operations leads, the role helps deliver high‑quality care through consistent screening, documentation, and patient engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct structured nurse‑led screening appointments and related clinical activities following established pathways and protocols.
• Communicate with patients via My Health Record screening, pharmacy liaison calls, discharge explanations, and other interactions, ensuring clear, compassionate education.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using approved templates and digital systems.
• Support operational workflows such as patient coordination, calendar management, and routine nursing queue tasks.
• Escalate complex, high‑risk, or out‑of‑scope matters promptly to senior nursing staff.

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Australia.
• 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience or equivalent experience suitable for a telehealth or clinical screening environment.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence‑based practice.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic health records and digital communication platforms.
• Experience with template‑based clinical documentation.
• Telehealth experience (highly desirable).
