Occupational Therapist (NDIS) - Brisbane

About the role

Ability Action Australia, a national NDIS provider, is expanding its team of allied health clinicians and is looking for Occupational Therapists to support NDIS participants across all ages in a community setting. The caseload is located within 30 minutes of your home anywhere in the Brisbane area, and the office hub is based in Yeerongpilly. The position is full-time or part-time.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload and deliver therapeutic services in line with participant goals
• Assess emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental and physical function
• Develop evidence-based treatment goals and interventions tailored to each individual
• Recommend assistive technology and environmental modifications to increase independence
• Support participants in home, school, work and community settings
• Maintain compliance with current legislation and best-practice standards

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Proactive, innovative mindset and a genuine desire to make a difference
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a collaborative team
• A passion for helping people in the disability sector
