Occupational Therapist (Grade 3 Senior Clinician)

The Occupational Therapy department at Werribee Mercy Hospital offers a supportive environment that promotes learning and development, with opportunities for career progression. As a Grade 3 Occupational Therapist (Senior Clinician), you will provide safe, evidence-based clinical leadership and support across the subacute setting, playing a key role in the delivery and oversight of therapy programs, functional interventions and patient-centred care that promote independence, safety and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality service delivery, including assessment, intervention planning and evaluation of outcomes
• Provide supervision, guidance and support to junior Occupational Therapy staff, fostering professional development and maintaining clinical standards
• Contribute to department operations through leadership in quality improvement initiatives, resource development and coordination
• Maintain well-organised and safe therapy environments

Required profile

• Current Occupational Therapy registration with AHPRAD
• Demonstrated clinical expertise in occupational therapy for patients from acute medical and surgical wards
• Resilient, compassionate and committed to patient-centred care
• Willingness to obtain a current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check, and proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccinations consistent with public health orders
