Occupational Health Doctor – Newcastle

About the role

KINNECT, an Australian-owned company founded in 1996 specialising in Occupational Health and Workplace Rehabilitation, is seeking an experienced full-time or part-time Occupational Health Doctor for its Newcastle clinic. The doctor delivers pre-employment medicals, health surveillance and fitness-for-work assessments for clients in the NSW resources, transport, construction and manufacturing sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pre-employment medicals, health surveillance and fitness-for-work assessments
• Work within a supportive clinical network led by the Chief Medical Officer and a national team of Occupational Physicians and Occupational Health Doctors
• Be part of a multidisciplinary team of nurses, workplace rehabilitation consultants and admin staff
• Perform at least 3 days per week in clinic, with the option of additional remote medical sign-offs

Required profile

• Registered medical practitioner with unrestricted AHPRA registration and Australian work rights
• Experience in Occupational Medicine (ideally 2+ years) or a commitment to move into the field
• Rail AHP, RSHQ EMO/AMA, MRO and Order 45 accreditation, or willingness to obtain it (support provided)
• Strong clinical judgment, digital literacy and customer-centric mindset
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong communication skills
