About the role
Tamworth Hospital is seeking a locum Obstetrics and Gynaecology consultant for a 6-day block from Tuesday 5 January to Sunday 10 January 2027. The hospital's maternity service has Level 4 capability and over 1,200 births per year, with a 20-bed maternity unit, three birth suites and an eight-bed Special Care Nursery supported by on-site paediatricians. The role is based on site, with flights available.
Key details
- Pay rate of $3,500 per day, with the listed daily rates for each shift.
- Shift times 0730-0730 and 0730-1630.
- SDPR training completion (6-10 hours) is required before starting; doctors are paid for this time.
- Recruitment handled by a recruiter who has placed locum O&G specialists across Australia since 2004.
Required profile
- Current AHPRA registration.
- NSW hospital paperwork (LHD specific), NSW Health online training modules and immunisations.
- Primary degree, fellowship and CPD certificate (if applicable).
- NSW WWCC, indemnity, Medicare provider number and ID check.
- NSW declarations (Hep B, TB, secondary employment, code of conduct).
