About the role

Skilled Nursing, a nursing division of Skilled Medical, is recruiting a permanent Nurse Unit Manager for an acute or urgent care setting in Warracknabeal, Victoria. The role centres on leading and managing a team to deliver safe, person-centred care.

Required profile

• Relevant postgraduate training or education in aged care, acute medical or emergency nursing.
• Relevant postgraduate education in leadership and management, or plans to undertake it.
• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Demonstrated competence in leading and managing a team to deliver safe, person-centred care.
• Knowledge of key guidelines and frameworks such as the Safe Patient Care Act, Code Grey requirements and the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage rosters and workforce needs, and adaptability to competing demands.
