Nurse Educator (Banana)

About the role

The Education and Research Unit of Queensland Health supports, educates and inspires its nursing and midwifery workforce. Its Nurse Educators design, deliver and evaluate nursing education programs, manage learning resources and support the educational needs of rural teams across Central Queensland. The role is based in Banana (Biloela).

Required profile

• Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent), current AHPRA registration and practising certificate.
• A postgraduate qualification at AQF Level 8 is highly regarded, or a willingness to work towards one.
• Strong clinical experience, ideally in rural or Emergency Department settings.
• Experience developing, delivering and evaluating education programs, supporting lifelong learning and promoting evidence-based practice.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to build relationships and support multidisciplinary teams.

• Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Triage competencies
