Registered Midwife – MGP / Caseload Midwife (Central Queensland)

About the role

MARS Recruitment is seeking an experienced Registered Midwife for contract opportunities in Central Queensland. The midwife provides continuity of care from pregnancy through birth and the postnatal period, working within a team of six midwives and a Maternity Unit Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Provide antenatal, labour, birth and postnatal care
• Deliver antenatal education
• Undertake clinical assessment, foetal surveillance and escalation
• Participate in the MGP roster and agreed on-call arrangements

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration and Australian work rights
• Placement compliance requirements
• Strong communication, clinical assessment and teamwork skills

Required skills

• Antenatal, postnatal, labour and birth care
• Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation

What we offer

• $73 per hour basic rate, with earnings up to $246 per hour on eligible shifts or overtime
• Higher pay for weekday afternoons, weeknights, weekends and public holidays, plus penalties

• On-call allowances and eligible overtime meal, laundry and broken shift allowances
• Referral and contract completion bonuses, and a qualification allowance of +3.5% where applicable
• Compliance and onboarding support, plus a dedicated consultant for the placement
