About the role
The Dr Jonathan Harris North Queensland Engineering Scholarship supports undergraduate civil engineering students in North/Far North Queensland with up to $10,000 over two years and paid work placements at AECOM.
Key responsibilities
- Complete industry work placements in AECOM’s Townsville or Cairns office, aligned with university requirements.
- Engage in coaching and mentoring sessions with senior engineers and contribute to real projects.
Required profile
- Enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) – Civil Engineering, entering 2nd or 3rd year.
- Willing to work in North or Far North Queensland and commit to placement periods.
- Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen with Australian address, or holder of a humanitarian visa.
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 4.0 each term and remain enrolled at census dates.

- Scholarship payment up to $10,000 over two years ($5,000 per year full‑time, $2,500 part‑time).
