Night Auditor – Front Office (Brisbane)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Night Auditor to join the Front Office team at Sofitel Brisbane Central. You will ensure smooth overnight operations, maintain accurate financial records, and deliver exceptional guest service during the night shift.

Key responsibilities

• Balance daily transactions and prepare precise overnight reports.
• Verify and reconcile guest accounts, ensuring all charges are correctly posted.
• Provide check‑in and check‑out assistance and respond to guest inquiries throughout the night.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
• Follow the Night Audit checklist and complete all required tasks.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies.
• Generate and distribute financial and operational reports.
• Support the front desk with administrative duties as needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Night Auditor or in a similar hospitality role (essential).
• Proficiency with hotel management software, especially Opera Cloud, and strong Excel skills.
• Strong analytical ability, meticulous attention to detail, and basic accounting knowledge.
• Excellent problem‑solving, decision‑making, and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to security procedures.
• Customer‑focused mindset with flexibility to work rotating overnight shifts.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with solid organisational and time‑management skills.
