Network Planning Leader – ANZ

About the role

AECOM is seeking a Network Planning Leader for Australia and New Zealand to shape the future electricity networks. This senior position combines technical leadership, client engagement, project delivery and team development across transmission, distribution and renewable energy projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead AECOM's Network Planning capability across Australia and New Zealand.
• Partner with utilities, network operators, renewable developers and government stakeholders on strategic planning initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership for transmission and distribution planning, power system studies and grid integration projects.
• Shape long‑term network investment strategies supporting decarbonisation and energy security.
• Mentor and develop technical leaders while building capability across the Energy business.

Required profile

• Significant experience in power systems, transmission and distribution planning, network strategy or grid integration.
• Strong understanding of electricity networks, energy markets and the energy transition.
• Proven success leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering large‑scale technical projects.
• Commercial acumen with ability to identify and grow strategic client opportunities.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
