About the role
Mindarie Senior College is seeking an experienced Network Administrator to manage its entire network environment. The role focuses on reliability, cybersecurity, and system administration across the campus. The successful candidate will ensure a secure and resilient IT infrastructure that supports teaching, learning and administrative functions.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain the school’s LAN/WAN and wireless networks.
- Monitor network performance and resolve incidents promptly.
- Manage Windows Server environment, including creation and administration of virtual machines.
- Implement and oversee data security, backup and disaster recovery procedures.
- Conduct regular cybersecurity assessments and improve the college’s security posture.
- Coordinate with internal staff and external vendors for hardware and software procurement.
- Maintain documentation and develop IT policies in line with the Department’s Standard Operating Environment.
- Plan and execute network upgrades and technology refresh cycles.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a Network Administrator or similar role in a complex environment.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, switching and firewalls.
- Experience with Windows Server administration and virtualization technologies.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and incident response.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff and external suppliers.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, Microsoft MCSA) are desirable.
- Australian work eligibility.
