About the role
The National Get Ready Program Manager will lead a newly created, country‑wide communications initiative focused on disaster preparedness. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, Communications and Engagement, you will shape strategy, coordinate stakeholders and ensure consistent, impactful messaging across all jurisdictions.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, implement and oversee a comprehensive communications strategy for the national disaster‑preparedness program.
- Establish governance frameworks to guarantee program accountability, transparency and alignment with national objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, NGOs, private‑sector partners and community groups.
- Collaborate with jurisdictions at varying maturity levels to align messaging and resolve conflicts.
- Lead creation, branding and distribution of campaign materials, digital platforms and website content.
- Manage sponsorship, advertising opportunities and national events, workshops and conferences.
- Oversee program budget, procurement and contracts, ensuring financial accountability.
- Prepare evidence‑based reports, progress updates and impact assessments.
Required profile
- Proven experience in communications, program management and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and travel nationally.
- Strong negotiation skills and capacity to balance national objectives with jurisdictional needs.
