National Automation & Electrical Engineer

About the role

Goodman Fielder, one of Australasia's largest food manufacturers, is looking for a National Automation & Electrical Engineer to lead its automation strategy across multiple manufacturing sites. The role drives innovation, modernisation and operational performance, helping a major food manufacturer use automation, process control and emerging technologies to improve reliability, productivity and future capability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a national automation and electrical strategy aligned to business priorities.
• Drive network-wide automation, control systems and digital manufacturing initiatives.
• Lead major capital projects that enhance performance, reliability and efficiency.
• Establish automation standards, governance and best practice across sites.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering and senior leaders to identify and deliver strategic improvement opportunities.
• Build future capability through technology, data-driven decision making and industry-leading automation solutions.

Required profile

• Significant experience in automation, controls or electrical engineering within manufacturing.
• Proven success leading complex automation projects and transformation initiatives.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to develop compelling business cases.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, able to influence across multiple sites and functions.
• A passion for innovation, continuous improvement and shaping the future of manufacturing.
