National Account Manager - Fashion Retail

About the role

A leading sports and lifestyle business, representing a portfolio of globally recognised brands across sport, fashion and streetwear, is looking for an experienced Sales Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of key fashion retail accounts with Australia's leading fashion, sporting and department store retailers. The role spans the full commercial cycle, from seasonal range reviews to order book management and sell-through, and is predominantly field-based with regular customer engagement and national travel of about two days per month.

Key responsibilities

• Drive revenue growth and develop strategic account plans for key fashion retail accounts
• Identify opportunities to expand the portfolio across existing and new customers
• Manage four seasonal range reviews each year, pre-lines, design ideation, GTM planning, forecasting, budgets, order book management, inventory and sell-through
• Work closely with merchandising, marketing, design, production, planning, finance and CX teams to bring products to market and meet customer requirements

Required profile

• Commercially minded sales professional with experience in a similar wholesale, retail or account management role, ideally in fashion, apparel, lifestyle or an adjacent consumer category
• Experience managing and growing key customer accounts
• Genuine interest in fashion, apparel and the brands represented, with credibility building relationships with buyers and younger retail audiences
• Comfortable working independently, highly organised and commercially curious

Required skills

• Understanding of the retail environment
• Confidence with budgets, forecasts, actuals, order books, inventory and sales performance
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration across multiple internal functions
