Multimedia Journalist

About the role

Nine, Australia's largest locally owned media company, is looking for a Multimedia Journalist based in North Sydney. Reporting to the Executive Digital Story Editor, you will work with the Video Content teams to drive off-network distribution through a multi-platform strategy, creating high-impact multimedia content for news and current affairs programs.

Key responsibilities

• Create, produce, write, edit and distribute engaging video content across all digital platforms.
• Ensure all multimedia output aligns with Nine's editorial policies and standards.
• Collaborate with broader teams to create high-quality, shareable original content.
• Use innovative storytelling techniques to reach and inspire new audiences.
• Support the development of original short, mid- and long-form digital projects.
• Tailor video assets to the needs of different audience segments.

Required profile

• A completed degree in journalism or a related field.
• Experience producing and editing compelling video and social media content.
• Knowledge of horizontal and vertical formats, including TikTok, Reels and Shorts.
• A passion for news and current affairs.
• Ability to maintain high editorial standards in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Practical proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere and Photoshop.
