Digital Producer – Food Content

About the role

Nine, Australia's largest locally owned media company, is hiring a digital producer for its Good Food brand, which covers dining, drinks and food culture. You will join a collaborative team and primarily edit and publish high-impact food news and recipes, while also writing and helping produce short-form social videos.

Key responsibilities

• Write, edit and produce food content across digital, print, social and app platforms.
• Write and pitch food features, breaking news and practical, solution-driven content.
• Collaborate with the social media team to film, edit and produce short-form video.
• Workshop headlines, hooks and SEO best practices to maximise reach.
• Coordinate newsletter recipe calendars and manage daily production run sheets.
• Analyse reader metrics to inform future stories and content strategy.
• Assist across the Eating In and Eating Out editorial streams as required.

Required profile

• Prior editorial and digital CMS production experience in a fast-paced publishing environment.
• Proven ability to write concise news and features without direct guidance.
• Hands-on experience filming and editing video for social media.
• Familiarity with audience analytics and data-driven content decisions.
• Interest in food culture, cooking and nutrition trends is desirable but not essential.
• Must already have the right to work and live in Australia.
