About the role
Thiess Mount Pleasant is seeking an experienced MPU Operator to join the Drill and Blast team. The role involves loading blast holes and operating mobile processing units in an open‑cut mining environment on a 5/4 lifestyle roster.
Key responsibilities
- Perform blast hole loading activities safely and efficiently.
- Operate heavy rigid trucks and mobile processing units in open‑cut operations.
- Follow directions from the Drill and Blast Supervisor and contribute to high‑quality results.
Required profile
- Current security clearance.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a high‑performance team.
- Commitment to safety, community and environmental standards.
Required skills
- Experience in blast hole loading.
- Operation of heavy rigid trucks.
- Experience with mobile processing units in open‑cut mining.
