Modelling and Operational Analysis Simulation System Specialist (Part‑time)

About the role

Amentum is seeking an experienced Modelling and Operational Analysis Simulation System (MOASS) Specialist to support accreditation, operation, and sustainment of a critical Defence simulation capability. This part‑time position (16 hours per week) works under limited direction to enable the Commonwealth of Australia to grant Authority to Operate (ATO) for MOASS.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver MOASS security accreditation and authorisation activities, preparing ATO documentation in line with ISM, SAPMAN and the system Concept of Operations.
• Provide technical support for simulation software, networks and complex engineering environments, including development and scripting (LUA) of bespoke analytical tools.
• Establish, document and maintain system configurations, baselines, procedures, security controls, user accounts and related documentation.
• Design, implement and support system changes, upgrades, patches and security configurations in consultation with security authorities.
• Monitor system performance, capacity and reliability, manage obsolescence and support ongoing ICT security accreditation.

Required profile

• Highly capable technical specialist with experience in secure, regulated ICT environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, able to communicate with both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Experience supporting system accreditation, sustainment and operational use within Defence or government settings is highly regarded.

Required skills

• Top Secret – Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance and eligibility for DISP Level 3/4.
• Programming and scripting experience, specifically LUA.
• Knowledge of security accreditation frameworks such as ISM and SAPMAN.
• Experience with secure ICT system configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting.
