Mid-Level Interior Designer - Workplace Fit Outs (ArchiCAD)

About the role

A Design and Construct firm specialising in commercial fit-outs across industrial, government, education and workplace projects, as well as refurbishments and joinery, is looking for a mid-level interior designer. The role focuses mainly on workplace projects, working with other interstate offices so you gain national project exposure. It suits an experienced, confident designer who can own several projects from start to finish.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects from initial concept through to completion
• Coordinate design and documentation
• Take ownership of projects from start to finish
• Work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Liaise with clients
• Complete FF&E schedules

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience
• Proven workplace/office fit-out design experience
• Background from a D&C company desirable
• Dedicated, team player willing to take on multiple projects and attend regular workshops
• Confident, approachable personality with good presentation and communication skills

Required skills

• Space planning and concept design/development
• Understanding of the design, detailing and construction process
• Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and other industry regulations
• Knowledge of ArchiCAD is beneficial
