Mid-Level Building Engineer

About the role

TBE Solutions, a Sydney-based consultancy providing remedial building and engineering solutions for residential and commercial properties, is hiring a full-time, permanent Mid-Level Building Engineer. The role suits someone who wants to handle more complex tasks, grow professionally and contribute significantly to the business.

Key responsibilities

• Independently conduct site inspections, identify, photograph and document building defects and related issues
• Compile comprehensive building defect, condition and technical reports
• Develop recommendations for general building repairs and prepare scope of works documentation for tenders
• Handle tender, contract and project management processes

Required profile

• Background in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 1-4 years of experience in a similar consulting firm
• Familiarity with the remedial building industry
• Experience preparing building reports
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to multitask, work independently and manage work sites

Required skills

• Versed in relevant building codes and Australian Standards
• Building defect reporting and tender documentation
