Metal Fabrication Teacher (Full‑time Fixed‑term)

About the role

TAFE Queensland is seeking an experienced Metal Fabrication Teacher to join the Toowoomba Campus. This fixed‑term, full‑time position runs until 30 June 2027 and offers the chance to share industry expertise with a diverse student cohort through classroom, online, and workplace‑based delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging metal fabrication curriculum across on‑site, online and workplace settings.
• Assess student performance, provide feedback and support learning outcomes.
• Maintain industry relevance by integrating current practices, tools and safety standards.
• Collaborate with the Educational Team Leader and other staff to develop continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in professional development and contribute to the broader TAFE community.

Required profile

• Recent, relevant industry experience in metal fabrication.
• Relevant industry qualifications or certifications.
• Demonstrated ability to teach adult learners from varied backgrounds.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
