Member Consultant (Part-Time)

About the role

Defence Bank, a member-owned bank serving the Australian Defence community, is hiring a Member Consultant in Perth on a part-time basis (30.8 hours across five days per week). The role supports the bank's purpose by delivering outstanding member service, from helping members buy their first car to advising on home loans and insurance, while contributing to branch growth and building lasting relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the branch's consumer lending portfolio, including personal loans, credit cards and home lending opportunities for mobile lenders
• Open new memberships, savings and deposit accounts and provide general insurance products
• Handle inbound and outbound calls to deliver high-quality member service
• Complete branch operations such as over-the-counter transactions (deposits and withdrawals) and account maintenance
• Follow current policies, procedures and compliance standards

Required profile

• Experience in a customer-facing retail or administrative team or similar
• Ability to multitask, prioritise and improve processes to reduce member effort
• Prior banking experience desirable but not essential; all levels of experience are encouraged
