About the role

Western Urology, a busy surgical practice in Subiaco, is looking for an experienced Medical Secretary to join the team on a part‑time basis. The role offers a stable, long‑term position with flexible hours and no weekend work.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to two surgical consultants, working alongside a full‑time secretary.
• Cover clinic sessions, manage patient reception, phone calls, and appointment bookings.
• Coordinate theatre lists, resolve diary clashes, and maintain accurate patient records.
• Liaise with hospitals, health funds, anaesthetists, and other providers.
• Manage correspondence, inbox triage, and flag urgent items.
• Support billing and health‑fund enquiries.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a medical secretary, preferably in urology or another surgical specialty.
• Proactive attitude with strong organisational skills.
• Desire for a long‑term, stable role rather than a temporary position.
• Calm and professional demeanor in a busy clinic environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Genie practice‑management software (essential).
• Familiarity with Eclipse software (desirable).
