Medical Receptionist – Health Clerk

About the role

We are seeking a personable Medical Receptionist to provide essential clerical and administrative support within a multidisciplinary health centre at Robertson Barracks. You will be the first point of contact for patients and staff, ensuring smooth clinic operations in a safe, respectful environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain fast, accurate, and professional front‑desk service for health staff and patients.
• Manage electronic and hard‑copy health records in line with Defence policies and privacy standards.
• Coordinate appointments and liaise with internal and external health service providers.
• Prepare reports, update health and personnel management systems, and assist with auditing activities.
• Support daily operations through filing, mail distribution, photocopying, ordering stationery, and processing supply requests.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of full‑time (or equivalent part‑time) administrative experience, preferably in a medical setting.
• Completion of a medical terminology course from a Registered Training Organisation, or willingness to complete one.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
