Medical Manager - Diabetes Technology

About the role

Heng & Hurst is recruiting a Medical Manager for a growing diabetes technology company, which is partnering with another company seeking its Medical Director based in Sydney. The role sits at the heart of medical strategy, governance and education for insulin pump therapy, reporting to the Managing Director. It suits someone who wants to lead a department and shape medical content and messaging in the market.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Medical Affairs function across ANZ, setting strategy, raising governance and embedding best practice
• Inspire and mentor a team of Clinical Specialists and oversee outsourced functions
• Oversee medical review and approval of all scientific and promotional material for compliance
• Create and deliver medical content and education for healthcare professionals and patient programs
• Give strategic clinical input to clinical, commercial and regulatory teams
• Build and nurture KOL and institutional networks
• Partner with regulatory stakeholders and maintain medical documentation, SOPs and training so the team is audit-ready

Required profile

• Significant Medical Affairs leadership experience in pharma and/or medical devices; diabetes experience is prioritised
• Demonstrated success in medical review/approval, HCP education and KOL engagement
• A degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy or a related field; team leadership and PV oversight are strong pluses
