Medical Imaging Technologist (Casual)

About the role

St Vincent's Medical Imaging provides imaging services to patients of St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne and St Vincent's Private Hospital. This is a casual position in the Fitzroy location, with multiple openings available up to 38 hours per week, working a weekday and after-hours roster in the Medical Imaging and SVPR departments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform imaging examinations across a number of modalities and sites to a high diagnostic standard
• Work in General X-ray, Theatre, Fluoroscopy and CT, and other modalities where appropriately trained
• Interact with patients and other staff with excellent communication skills

Required profile

• Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Radiation or equivalent
• National registration with AHPRA to practice as a Medical Imaging Technologist and a valid radiation use licence
• Current national criminal history check, or willingness to obtain one
• Ability to meet mandatory vaccination requirements, including the flu vaccine and the Victorian government COVID-19 direction
