Medical Imaging Technologist (Casual)

About the role

St Vincent's Health is hiring casual Medical Imaging Technologists for its Fitzroy location. The technologists provide imaging services to patients of St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne and St Vincent's Private Hospital, working in a friendly and supportive team environment. Multiple casual positions are available, up to 38 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Perform clinical radiography imaging examinations across a number of modalities and sites within the hospital to a high diagnostic standard.
• Work in General X-ray, Theatre, Fluoroscopy and CT, and additional modalities where appropriately trained.
• Follow a weekday and after-hours roster in the Medical Imaging and SVPR departments.
• Communicate well with patients and other staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Radiation or equivalent.
• National registration with AHPRA to practice as a Medical Imaging Technologist and a valid radiation use licence.
• Current national criminal history check, or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to meet mandatory vaccination requirements, including the flu vaccine, and the Victorian government COVID-19 vaccination direction.
