Mechanical Tradesperson (Maintenance Fitter)

About the role

Tip Top's Ermington site is looking for a skilled Maintenance Fitter (mechanical tradesperson) to join its team. The role suits a hands-on fitter who enjoys solving problems and keeping machines running. Immediate start is possible, with a 4-week rotating roster repeating throughout the year, mixing day and night shifts and regular extended time off.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance and keep equipment running smoothly
• Diagnose and troubleshoot machinery issues and respond to breakdowns, prioritising safe, efficient repairs
• Work with supervisors on root cause analysis and continuous improvement
• Maintain logs, registers and SAP records for all repairs
• Collaborate with production teams to keep operations flowing

Required profile

• Trade qualified Fitter/Machinist
• Experience in industrial maintenance (food manufacturing preferred)
• Safety-first mindset and strong problem-solving skills, able to work under pressure
• Forklift licence highly regarded but not essential
