Mechanical Maintainer – FIFO Fixed Plant (Pilbara)

About the role

Rio Tinto is seeking Mechanical Maintainers for its Fixed Plant teams across Pilbara sites. The role operates on a FIFO roster, offering 8‑day on/6‑day off or 8‑day on/6‑day off + 7‑night on/7‑night off patterns, allowing you to balance work with personal priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Execute mechanical fault finding, breakdown repairs, and both planned and opportunistic maintenance.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on all fixed‑plant equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections of assets and determine required repair actions.
• Isolate equipment safely for maintenance and operational tasks.

Required profile

• Commitment to personal and team safety.
• Respectful, inclusive mindset.
• Mechanical Engineering or Fitting trade qualification.
• Valid manual C‑class Australian driver’s licence (HR desirable).
