Mechanical Engineers – Water Infrastructure (Early to Senior Levels)

About the role

Aurecon is seeking Mechanical Engineers with experience in water infrastructure to join its Water Utilities team across Australia. The role is open to candidates from early‑career to senior levels and offers the chance to work on high‑profile pipelines, pump stations and treatment plant projects.

Key responsibilities

• Mechanical and hydraulic design of pipelines, pump stations and treatment plants.
• Multidisciplinary design coordination within established utility partnerships.
• Design development, construction verification and commissioning support.
• For senior and lead engineers: lead mechanical design teams on major projects, provide technical oversight and mentoring, and ensure safety, constructability and best‑practice delivery.

Required profile

• Qualified Mechanical Engineer with water infrastructure experience.
• Ability to work across multiple locations in Australia.
• Willingness to contribute at any level from early‑career to senior.
