Mechanical Engineer – Power Generation Projects

About the role

Clarke Energy is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join its Engineering team. The role focuses on mechanical design and delivery for gas‑engine power stations and combined heat‑and‑power projects across the South Pacific.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design activities for EPC projects, from concept through to detailed engineering.
• Support project delivery by reviewing specifications, ensuring compliance with standards, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle, including installation, commissioning and hand‑over.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to develop solutions that meet customer requirements in mining, water, agriculture, oil & gas, and commercial sectors.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven experience in power generation or EPC environments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team‑oriented setting.

Required skills

• Mechanical design for power generation equipment.
• Knowledge of EPC processes and standards.
