Mechanical Engineer – Mining & Resources

About the role

Warrikal is seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer to support project delivery across the mining and resources sector in Western Australia. You will work closely with project managers, construction teams, clients and contractors to ensure safe, efficient and high‑quality execution of mechanical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in compliance with project‑specific requirements, Australian Standards and industry codes.
• Support project control activities such as scheduling, forecasting, reporting and progress tracking.
• Undertake procurement, inspection and expediting of materials and equipment.
• Manage subcontractor quotations, scopes and invoicing processes.
• Help maintain project quality management systems and achieve quality objectives.
• Prepare and review contract scopes of work and tender documentation.
• Perform site engineering activities with a strong focus on safety and operational excellence.

Required profile

• Eligible to work in Australia.
• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors and suppliers.
• Analytical and problem‑solving mindset with solid organisational skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
