Mechanical Engineer - Document Specialist

About the role
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to act as a Document Specialist, helping our AI research teams evaluate how well models interpret engineering documentation and follow multi‑step instructions. This is a remote, part‑time contract position offering flexible hours.
Key responsibilities
- Author tasks that test AI’s ability to read and act on technical drawings, specifications, and other engineering documents.
- Evaluate AI model outputs against ground‑truth results using an objective rubric.
- Develop complex, multi‑step requests based on real‑world workspace files such as technical drawings and project specifications.
- Collaborate with AI research teams to ensure outputs are precise and well‑structured.
- Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while continuously improving model performance.
Required profile
- 3+ years of professional experience in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Architecture.
Required skills
What we offer
- Hourly rate of $90–$110.
- Fully remote work.
- Contract engagement of 15–20 hours per week.
