Mechanical Engineer – Design & Project Support

About the role

Join a fast‑growing engineering firm in Perth and help drive innovation across resources, energy and industrial projects. You will work closely with lead engineers and project managers to deliver compliant, high‑quality mechanical designs that meet client standards and Australian regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop simple, functional, and efficient mechanical designs from concept through construction.
• Support lead engineers and project managers using Agilitus systems and procedures.
• Review junior engineers’ work to ensure compliance with codes, standards and client guidelines.
• Assist senior engineers on low‑risk proposals and technical outputs.
• Maintain design documentation that aligns with project budgets and timelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) degree.
• Knowledge of mechanical, material‑handling, wet‑processing and piping design standards and guidelines.
• Strong communication skills for clear instruction and delegation.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
