Marketing Director

About the role

Signature Hospitality Group, behind The Sporting Globe, TGI Fridays and Varsity, is looking for a senior marketing leader to shape its next phase of growth. The Marketing Director leads a team of 20 marketing and creative professionals across the full brand portfolio, covering brand strategy, commercial performance, customer growth, campaigns, partnerships and team leadership. The role moves between high-level strategy and hands-on delivery and influences franchise partners, venue teams, agencies, suppliers and commercial partners.

Key responsibilities

• Own brand strategy and positioning across The Sporting Globe, TGI Fridays and Varsity
• Lead annual brand plans, campaign calendars and marketing budgets
• Drive marketing for new venue openings, new markets, refurbishments, menu launches and new product development
• Lead the launch of new venues and future licensed brands
• Oversee major campaigns and tentpole activity across the group
• Lead PR, media relations and agency partnerships
• Build relationships with franchise partners and guide local area marketing
• Maximise supplier marketing contributions and commercial partnerships
• Lead major sponsorships and sporting partnerships
• Own marketing performance, sales contribution, ROI and budget effectiveness
• Lead, mentor and develop a marketing and creative team of 20
• Partner with senior leaders across Operations, Commercial, Development and Finance

Required profile

• Marketing Director, GM Marketing or equivalent level within hospitality, leisure or multi-site entertainment/retail
• Proven experience leading and developing large, high-performing teams
• Experience negotiating supplier deals and leveraging commercial marketing contributions
• Exposure to highly successful major sponsorships and partnerships
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
• Willingness to travel interstate as required
