Manufacturing Manager

About the role

CSR is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead its Bradford Insulation manufacturing facility in Scoresby, Victoria. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead a 24/5 operation and drive operational excellence, team capability and continuous improvement. The role suits a hands-on manufacturing leader who enjoys fast-paced environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead production operations with a focus on safety, quality, service and productivity.
• Champion a Zero Harm culture and ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Drive site performance across production, service, delivery, productivity and cost objectives.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing, 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop, coach and mentor leaders and production teams.
• Manage operational planning, budgets, cost control and performance metrics.
• Identify operational losses and improve equipment reliability and plant performance.
• Build relationships with maintenance, engineering and operational support teams.
• Support positive industrial relations outcomes in a unionised environment.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong people leadership and coaching ability.
• Genuine commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence.
• Experience managing operational KPIs and performance outcomes.
• Well-developed stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Exposure to industrial relations and unionised workplaces is highly regarded.
• Engineering, Manufacturing, Process Engineering or related qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
